Another Shaffer!

Yesterday was a very exciting day! At 3:40 am Cali Renee Shaffer was born! She is a beautiful seven pound little girl. Of course I couldn't stay away from Cali for long so yesterday I went to Columbus with Cat, Dan and Tom to visit with Jason and Amy and hold little Cali for the first time! Now that Cali is here I'm anxiously awaiting the birth of Silas Daniel! I feel so blessed to have the Shaffers in my life and I feel even more blessed that all of Jonathan's siblings refer to me as "Aunt Katie" to their children. It is such a sweet feeling to be so easily accepted as an aunt to the babies that I love so completely. I hope to one day be an "official" aunt to Parker, Ellie, Cali and Silas.

A New Look!

Well friends, if you couldn't tell my blog has been redesigned and renamed thanks to my ever creative man, Jonathan Shaffer. He totally rocked it and I couldn't be happier with the result! You might be wondering what the heck 'The Red Sleeve' means so I will happily explain. The color red is used to represent passion, love, life, and energy. Words that others often use to describe me. I am an individual who wears my heart on my sleeve and since my blog is a place where I continually express myself it is my red sleeve. Pretty awesome huh? I was literally speechless (which does not happen often) when Jonathan explained the meaning behind the name. My man knows me so well. 


I'm so excited about the new look and I'm really looking forward to continuing with my blogging.

7. Going to Brookside on Sunday.
8. Getting together with the Brink bridal party to try out some hairstyles for the wedding.
